Sometimes if an animal has a total lack of fear response the predator will fail to register it as food.
Makes sense, but it raises the question of what happens when they put the next goat in the tiger pen (tiger gotsta eat). If the second goat evinces fear and the tiger eats it, will the original goat become fearful, thus triggering the tiger's predatory response?
