I'm curious to know from a philosophical stand point.... if a person is a psychopath and does not have ability to feel empathy, and if this same person can only gain sexual gratification through rape and murder, what personal reason should he have for not going through with it?
If there is no objective value for the life of a human being other than our own personal empathy, what does that mean for the person who does not feel empathy?
It means that he is not welcome in society that values empathy, and that he will be removed should he act out his impulses.
Makes sense, thanks.
So if a person lives in a society that doesn't care about keeping women safe and sees rape as the right of a man, then there is absolutely 0 reason why a psychopath with a violent fetish shouldn't rape and murder. Is that accurate?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
