I am an atheist. I've realized there's no actual evidence to back up theistic beliefs. Theistic beliefs are baseless, and I've come to realize that. Thanks for answering my question.

Raping and murdering doesn't require lack of theism. Most of the people that do it are theists. It requires viciousness, a level of morality lower than a beast's, lack of empathy and a disregard of consequences to oneself and others.
