He might have thrown in a bit of paganism, but with 36000 Christian sects, it wouldn't be the first time local folklore and traditions were mixed into Christianity.
But not only does the evidence point to Hitler being a Christian, he was a creationist.

The "Origin of the Species" and every book on evolutionary biology was banned by Hitler. And his breeding program was based on the soldier breeding programs of ancient Sparta, which he was a big fan, not evolution.
That explains a lot, actually.
