I think people make this claim just to make Christians look bad.
He turned from Christ long before he became chancellor of Germany. However, he was not an athesit (like the people on this forum), rather he was sort of a Wiccan/neopagan as were most of the Nazis.
Don't believe me? Look at the societies he was part of:
1. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thule_Society#Beliefs
2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-v%C3%B...i_Satanism
Even if the Nazis called themselves Christians, they held many non Christian beliefs: The superiority of the Germanic race (no way jose!!!), sex before marriage is A-ok ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lebensborn), and that it is ok to dill-dally in the occult. Also, killing people is un-Christian and they did that too.
Further, many proud and stubborn atheists like to forget the fact that Hitler was never,a Christian, but in fact... a Roman Catholic. Honestly, how can you confuse the two.
Hitler's Catholic beliefs (if he stuck too them), involved worshipping statutes of Mary, calling a priest"father", believeing in non-existant purgatory, and thinking the bible alone isn't good enough and being "Saved by works" instead of "saved by fatihe alone"
Not to toot my own horn, but checkmate athesits!!!![]()

Some facts he was raised in a devout Catholic household. he never denied the deity of Christ just his Jewishness under an Aryan belief system, he allowed Catholic and Protestant chaplains to serve in the armed forced, he made a deal with the Catholic Church to allow them autonomy as long as they stayed non-political and moreover never left the Catholic faith nor was he and many Nazi's excommunicated. So yes he was Christian just his brand of it which you say was warped and likely was however he was a Roman Catholic for life even if a nominal one.
Roman Catholics do believe in Christ and claim ,sensibly, to believe in the divinity of Christ and all the trappings they add saints and such but that doesn't magically make them non-Christians. Mormons also are Christians they just add their own trappings and all.
