It's not just a matter of how old a planet it, it's about the conditions on that planet. However, I believe a huge number of planets with an environment somewhat similar to ours have been detected. Although it's speculation at this point, there may well be life on some of them. Or maybe there has been in the past. The universe is huge and we can barely check out our own tiny section properly.
I sure hope to Jebus there is other life forms out there. Because if there isn't - wow that would be scary.
