I always procrastinate things that are hyped by everyone. If when I asked people what Breaking Bad was like they were like "It's pretty good" I think I would have watched it ages ago. Anything super hyped I procrastinate over and over or even avoid like the plague. It's one of my weak points, that.
When I ask people what Breaking Bad is like they're always like "IT'S AMAZING! YOU HAVE TO WATCH IT!"--and it puts me off checking it out lol. I don't like having my hopes built up so much that if I don't like it I'll be massively disappointed. I'd much rather they just said "Pretty good, worth watching but nothing super amazing, check it out in your spare time". Then I would have watched it lol.
At least people are honest with me about how they feel about the show... but this is the same reason I've never watched Pokemon because as a kid everyone was like "OH MY GAD IT'S AMAZINGZZZZ!!!!" So I was like "Nah... no thanks".
I understand now though why when I tell people the music I like that they've never even heard of, perhaps they don't avoid it because it's obscure... perhaps they avoid it because I hype it up like "OH MY GAD! PORCUPINE TREE IS ZEH BEST ROCK BAND EVER, STEVEN WILSON IS AMAZING! AND AS FOR ELECTRONIC MUSIC, WOWZ! ORBITAL ARE AWESOMENESS-SAUCE AND PAUL HARTNOLL IS LEGENDARY!" .........So yeah I'm not surprised that most people react to me with "Nah, no thanks" either LOL.
