I can relate to feeling like doctors don't give a fuck.

Me too. In my experience personally the majority just leaves things as they are and don't change your meds unless they absolutely have to, even if you'd be much much better on other meds, or even if you don't really need them at all. Most doctors are like "leave things as they are" in my own personal experience... but there are some decent ones who genuinely care and don't just do the minimum required and cover their own asses.
