It's a meme "squirrel" is simply a silly word used to denote someone getting distracted easily. Like men and boobs. Theism relies on the "boobs" of pretty stories, in an attempt to get you to be distracted by the "squirrel". Crude analogy but hopefully that explains it.

Kinda like when you fool someone with "Your shoe is untied," and you flick their chin as they look down and you say "Made you look".

Religion wants you distracted by clear crap because it is "pretty" like some people think squirrels are cute.
