Read the story closely. SHE initiated the stoppage of chemotherapy and the parents supported her.

Let's be fucking honest. Do you really think that she wasn't influenced by her parents for that decision? At age fucking eleven? I have an eleven year old granddaughter who's pretty independent, but she wouldn't be able to make a goddamn medical decision on her own.
There's plenty of indicators that she was influenced by her parents. For start, the fact that they let her stop chemotherapy in favor of being healed by god. Parents who aren't firmly indoctrinated by the bullshit aren't going to just let their child say no to treatment that could save their goddamn life. Then there's the fact that they tried to blame the fucking chemo on her death, despite medical experts saying otherwise. These nitwits clearly taught their daughter that faith was a better solution. How much they actually talked her into it doesn't fucking matter. A good parent would have told them that God wants them to get Chemotherapy, and that's how he will heal her.
