Yeah, I came up with an alternative scenario. I think this is much more reasonable, and fits the evidence better.
"One day, God decided he wanted to be among his people. Truly among them. For he realised he had created them in such a way that they could never have a proper relationship with him in the same way humans have with each other. Some didn't even believe he existed. So he put all his faith in humanity, and transformed himself into a human. He sacrificed all his Godly powers. A true sacrifice. A sacrifice unprecedented in magnitude.
His faith was misplaced. They mistook him for a crazy troublemaker. They killed him.
God is dead, hence his total absence since then. The idea of a sacrifice still persists in Christianity, but the truth has been lost. RIP God."
