You cannot be reactive without being active. The two are not mutually exclusive, as you seem to think. You can however be active without being reactive, that much is true, but I think we will agree that an antitheist will never be anything but reactive, given the fact that religion always comes before antitheism.
So I would actually agree that an antitheist would be better described as reactive than active(so as to not create confusions of the sort). Where does that leave us? I'm an antitheist but you're not, despite us both being reactionary regarding religion/theism?
