Why did you feel the need to make that statement, then?

To explain to you just one of the ways that others, who don't agree with us, would point not at the buts in the seats and their beliefs (or even lack thereof), but at the institution itself...for example, when pervert priests are shuffled around.

Theism is belief in God. The content of that belief within certain religions is what defines God. Deism is belief in God devoid of any content. It is grounded in theism, similar to the way atheism is. Without any content belief in God is simply belief. Pure belief(without the object of belief) doesn't make any sense. It's both inconceivable and an illusion.

.....and at what point were we going to elaborate on your position..in response to the post you quoted..regarding the inseparability of god and religion?  Why on earth would I quibble with you over whether or not peoples magical beliefs make any sense....really.....we aren't even having that discussion.  What happened to all the meaning you were talking about last post?

Oh, for fuck's sake. I think we'll both agree this discussion is beyond pointless. We seem to agree on everything involved, as far as I can tell.
