I've never met a creationist who doesn't accept the label 'homo sapiens'. But it's possible to so do. Some categories are so concrete that a person is completely justified in imposing their own understanding over the person who is in error. Other categories are more nuanced, and a thoughtful person considers that they might be the one who is wrong, or that the category is so nebulous that their is room for honest disagreement. For instance, the term 'adult' is somewhat arbitrary. Someone who calls themselves an adult at five is simply wrong, but someone who calls themselves an adult at 15 may be able to make a case for it.
