Quote: And I don't quite understand what you meant by saying "You don't have to have sex with Saudi establishment figures to make millions from Quran."
Saudi funds loads of television personalities and subsidizes the sale of loads of books. If you want to be a Wahaabi Imam Saudi will pay for you. They build Mosques all over the place. Wahaabi/Salafis make millions from Saudi. And I'm saying you don't need need to be part of the huge Wahaabi machine to make money from your religion.
Anyhow, I thought Twelvers followed Jafari. But maybe I was mistaken. Many Shias are Twelvers and majority of Shias are also Jafari. If you put two together, maybe Estes likes Twelvers because they are strict like Wahaabis/Salafis. E.g. Shia equivalent of Salafis.

To be clear, some of this food labelled as "Halal" I see in the import shops, I would not even feed it to starving Syrians. Makes you wonder who paid who to get the certification. I heard somewhere that some Halal certifiers in the West act like the Mafia and charge huge amounts for being the "most strict". Just buy unprocessed stuff I say. Some have even accused elements of Halal lobby in the West of using profits to fund "terrorists", but my main issue is the lack of accountability and transparency. If I was a Sikh, a Hindu or a Jew, I'd want to avoid Halal for religious reasons, but often it's not labelled as Halal in the main supermarkets.
