Trump is a demagogue. He has nothing to lose, because he's not a politician, and he figured out that most of Americans are stupid, as well as resentful towards government - so he just says what those people are thinking. He doesn't have policies, he has no idea about politics and also - no class, but that's probably the least of his problems. Yeah - immigration and War On Christmas are the reasons, why things haven't been going so great for many Americans, sure. Nothing to do with the fact, that USA allowed bankers to f*ck the world economy into a crisis, then they bailed them out, gave them bonuses and let them continue pretty much exactly what they were doing before. Blame the f*cking Mexicans...
From what I gather most of Trump supporters are disenfranchised, uneducated losers, who blame politicians for the fact that their lives didn't turn out the way they imagined, so they resolved to vote for an "outsider" and an odd-ball - out of spite. Which is a good joke, sure, and maybe even a way to put pressure on the politicians - but the humor of it will wear pretty thin, very soon, when/if this "Fraggle Rock" reject becomes one of the most powerful people on Earth. For whole f*cking 4 years.
And if this a**hole doesn't "make America great again" (which he won't) - how about Larry the Cable Guy in 2020? That'll learn'em. And then maybe half of the US population should freeze their ears off, to show Mom, that they don't have to wear a hat, if they don't want to?...
As a foreigner I can tell you, Americans - if Trump somehow becomes your President, you will not hear the end of it for a loooong time. I mean W. Bush was an embarrassment, especially the second time you elected him. But at least at first - we, overseas, didn't quite know he was a cretin. However, Trump is a reality TV "star" - we've seen him on TV. And we're not impressed... But, hey - it's your country.
