What do you need that much horse power for, if not gaming?
These days, though, with a good system costing well under $1000, and with less revolutionary change in non-gaming apps, it's probably worth building a decent system right up front. I now have computers that are 3 or 5 years old, and are holding up perfectly well, even for gaming.
So I think, this rig, which is a little bit of overkill, will probabably run Window 12 or MS office 2020 (or their Linux equivalents) with essentially no loss in computing joy.
