Donald Trump was good for one thing:
He exposed how many ignorant, racist, bigots that this country ACTUALLY has. In a time when I thought racism, and bigotry were dying out, at a time when I thought ignorance, true ignorance, was becoming more and more hard to come by, I am thoroughly shocked. How can I, as a 16 year old, and many Americans younger than I, laugh here at the fact that people who have been on this Earth over three times as long can know so little about politics where the younger generation can't vote on yet.
I always thought that with age comes experience, and as a result, you have more chances to learn, gain knowledge, cast away age-old ignorance. The sheer amount of people in favor of a Donald Trump presidency and the average voting age group for Trump has definitely made me doubt the validity of this belief.
