Anyone who wishes to continue to talk about the kudos I invite to my R'lyeh thread for arguing.
I think the internet is great and this is a really cool thread.
The boy is learning. (lightsaber powers down) Don't call me "cupcake".
I bet you could think of three different ways (in under 30 seconds) that you could have phrased your concern about kudos, how they are used, and what they mean to different people, that would have let to pleasant discussion. 'Nuff said. Peace.
I give Kudos to any post that makes me laugh, think, and/or reconsider something I said in a new light... as a result, I tend to Kudos most of the posts on threads I start or discussions I kick-off, and I mean every one of them.
The idea that Kudos are diminished by giving out too many is almost equivalent to the idea that hugs should be hoarded instead of dispersed as widely as possible.

A Christian told me: if you were saved you cant lose your salvation. you're sealed with the Holy Ghost
I replied: Can I refuse? Because I find the entire concept of vicarious blood sacrifice atonement to be morally abhorrent, the concept of holding flawed creatures permanently accountable for social misbehaviors and thought crimes to be morally abhorrent, and the concept of calling something "free" when it comes with the strings of subjugation and obedience perhaps the most morally abhorrent of all... and that's without even going into the history of justifying genocide, slavery, rape, misogyny, religious intolerance, and suppression of free speech which has been attributed by your own scriptures to your deity. I want a refund. I would burn happily rather than serve the monster you profess to love.
