As far as Bernie Sanders, even if he has the radical past, and didn't have a real job until he was 40, he will never campaign on communism. Socialism is a bit more palatable for the people to swallow, and democratic socialism sounds even better, but in the end, it's just an extension of the deeper belief system. That being said I don't think Bernie is all bad.

Where did you get that from? Bernie had a range of jobs in his 20s, including teaching and carpentry. 

Anyway, I think it's ignorant to say Bernie is a closeted communist because he runs on a platform of democratic socialism. That's like saying conservatives are closeted fascists.

I would say we really need to investigate his past to understand what he is today. 

Just listen to people that have gone through communist reeducation camps for one would be a good thing. They still exist today mainly in China and North Korea.

Honestly the biggest supporter I know is a guy who is an old friend of mine, who still lives in his parents basement in a nice house, that for some reason just wont leave, even though his mom calls him welfare.
