If you listen to Quran recitations you'll learn Arabic, he claims. But, don't worry, you don't need to understand the meaning of the Iyah. You just need to memorize them. How will one interact with people in Arabic if all they know is to recite Quran? It's like you just memorize the Arabic just for the sake of it and don't bother to interpret it for yourself.
The Catholic Church used to be like that with the Bible. They didn't really want people to understand the Bible. There's a reason why the Catholic Church has traditionally emphasized Latin: it's because the laymen used Vulgar Latin (i.e. The languages that became Spanish, Romanian, Italian, French and Portuguese). Like the Catholic higher-ups with the Bible, people want to hide the bad parts of the Quran and stop people from questioning the Quran.
