RE: Republican Muslim Coalition

I don't see why the existence of a "Republican Muslim" Coalition should surprise anyone. Apart from their respective positions on Israel, Islam and Republican party are quite compatabile.
Both believe in "traditional family values", are opposed to abortion, women's emancipation, and homsexuality. Both seem to enjoy violence and owning weapons. Both love the death penalty, want prayer in schools and are indifferent (at best) to the concept of seperation of church/mosque and state.
Sure Islam isn't a fan of Christianity running the show. But I think they prefer conservative Christian policies to "Godless heathenism" as exemplified by democratsÂ
