Now that integration has become a reality the service is making changes. The marines, for example, postponed their deadline for integration while they changed their physical fitness standards to be the same for men and women. This does mean that fewer women will pass (plenty of men fail too), they'd been traditionally held to a much, much lower standard. Hopefully the other branches do the same..otherwise they're setting women (and our armed forces) up to fail both in their careers and on the battlefield.
I agree. For combat roles all should be held to the same standard.
