I agree, but to an extent. College campuses on average are truly places for free speech, not just liberal or "P.C." speech. We had a BLM protest on my campus, and we've also had a protest in favor of defunding Planned Parenthood. Both sides can be vocal, but a large number of campuses are predominantly liberal, so that's how the student body's voice will come across. Nobody is shutting down the speech of others. That whole "safe space" thing really isn't common, and most students I believe really want free speech for any ideology.
What would be something that you'd want to say that you think the left would "shut down"?

What they are doing is denying Trump and his supporters their constitutional rights of free speech and assembly. This isn't a secret conspiracy either. This is their stated goal, and there are multiple movements openly organizing efforts to do this. This is why the left are so crazy. Instead of holding their own rallies, they try to shut down everyone else's.
Since the protesters are not the government, no, they are not denying Trump or his supporters their constitutional rights. But I agree with you here again, but also to an extent. I think if people were doing this to Bernie's rallies or Hillary's rallies the average person would be outraged. But guess what? Trump isn't like Bernie or Hillary. Unless you plan on voting for him, the odds are strong that you hate him. He's a polarizing candidate. He runs on a platform of hatred, he gets his power by antagonizing. He's as far right as a far-right populist can go before you could call him a neo-fascist. And it looks like he'll be the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Are you shocked he's facing this level of protest?

Not wanting Donald Trump to be President has nothing to do with being "trendy", has nothing to do with "PC culture", and certainly has nothing to do with "white guilt." It means that they do not want this inexperienced, incompetent, temperamental baby of a man running the country.
