It would be funny if he ran on an independent ticket. It would strip the GOP of the idiot base. And I doubt they could raise enough corporatists to vote for their candidate. Even more so, if there's probably a corporatist running on the other side.
I really think most of Drumpfs popularity isn't that the masses show up because they really are going to vote for him. I really think they just like the entertainment right now. Kinda like one would go to a taping of Jerry Springer and cheer him on but wouldn't want him in office.
They are dead with Trump or Cruz. Trump's ratings with women has tanked, combine that with all the minorities he's pissed off, and a bit of republicans too, the math simply isn't there with whatever swing voters he might gain.
