I wasn't trying to kill it, just shew it away. That bird isn't going to die because of that. We also trap and move alligators. Don't confuse cute with nice. That bird was not scared of me, it knew it could fly away and why start up as soon as it sees me go in the house from the same spot? It was trying to get laid and it didn't give one fuck about me, I was simply another annoyance for it to deal with.
Humans chase off loose dogs and cats too. There were plenty of trees and much taller trees all over the neighborhood. And lots of people hate squirrels, I dont, I think they are cute. But if they made as much noise as that bird did, I'd do the same.
