Yes it IS relevant.
Pantheism is a slightly less absurd than Catholicism, and far more attractive.
PT Barnum said something like "Nobody ever went broke underestimating public taste or stupidity"
There are thousands of people who give their religion as "Jedi" and seem to be serious.
A recent survey in the UK showed that about 20% of the population think light sabres are real. Yet 'Star Wars' is only one very long movie,a shallow and old fashioned Space Opera,in the tradition of E E "Doc" Smith. It's fluff, but high class fluff. (well, the first trilogy)
If you are a simple minded Christian literalist, I can see how you could see Harry Potter as demonic.---and there are an aweful lot of simple minded Christian literalists around, especially in the US. These are the children of the troglodytes who smashed The Beatles' records after John Lennon observed satirically that The Beatles were more popular than Jesus.

Elitist nonsense,if you mean formal education.
Formal education implies but does not infer intellect or rational thought. Further, I have never seen any evidence that human beings,as individuals or as a species are capable of consistent rational thought or behaviour.
