I was talking with my cousin once about what car to buy and I remember her saying "we bought a fiat once but it wasn't reliable, that's what happens when you buy French though" and it's hard to explain why but it irritated me because she said it as if she's been through lots of French cars before. Or people in general who buy clothing that's too expensive. They don't have a car or their own property and complain about how much the mother of their child is asking them for but they will buy Ralph Lauren polo tops or Armani. Which is just stupidly overpriced.
Aren't fiat Italian, too?
edit: confirmed, FIAT = Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino, or Italian Automobiles Factory, Turin, so she's acting rich about something she doesn't even know much about!
Haha sorry but I just used the name fiat because I could t be bothered to google and research a French car name, I don't remember what car she was talking about to be honest. The sentiment is still the same though, just the way she said "that happens when you buy French" really stuck in my head.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
