What's the point in dating single mothers?

When a woman raises her child by herself she is a single mother (parent).  

When a man raises his child by himself he is a single dad (parent).

Do we agree on this?
If we do, my question is, why are there so many single mothers?

Because more women than men take up the majority of the responsibility of raising their kids.

So you're saying there are more single mom's because men in general are irresponsible?
(and women more responsible?)
