Hmm....seemed pretty assholish to me. I can never decide if you genuinely don't realize when you're being a major dick, or if you're doing it intentionally because you love to be contraversial.
He definitely does it on purpose, it's the only part of him that isn't completely ignorant: He is slightly less obtuse than he pretends to be when repeatedly feigning to misunderstand people just to annoy them to get a reaction and negative attention when he's failing to get positive.
IMO.
