We live in a complex society. People can't do whatever they want to do whenever they want to do it without consequences. So although it might be a natural behavior a functioning complex society simply can't tolerate people who kill their children. The children are entitled to life although they are dependent upon their parents. While we can't always save them we can avenge them.
Maybe if we outlaw single motherhood then we could save more kids. I suppose we really can't stop all the single moms from killing when it comes so naturally to them. How do you propose we avenge the dead children of the single moms who succumb to their natural desire to kill?
