While it could be entirely possible for us to never die out (ever)... it is colloquially supposed that all things end.
This Colloquial supposition is not made inevitable by law of physics. Thus it is merely a challenge.
Laws of physics aside, extinction of the human race really can't be ruled out as a possibility considering #1 the current condition of the resources of this planet and #2 the inescapable history of mankind's willingness to annihilate one another. I would say the latter combined with the former is in fact the most likely way the human race will come to a near end. Asteroids, black holes, global warming and the surprise return of jesus probably don't even come close on a percentage of likelihood scale.
