The ones that do take part in sensible discussions, I have a lot of respect for. The ones that actually take the time to listen I respect even more, but they are a rare breed indeed. I'm not saying they're rare in the world, just they don't tend to come here.
I wonder if it's because they are secure and balanced, and don't feel the need to butt heads with atheists.
Yeah, I do agree with that for the most part now and I think I was very naive before. At the moment tbh I don't trust the motives of any of them but I don't know how much that is my current mood talking... because anger and mistrust go hand in hand... but nonetheless that's how I feel. All I'm seeing at the moment is smuntiness and brick walls... not the same sort of brick walls as my dad... but brick walls all the same... and certainly nothing to idealise.
