To be very honest, most of the times I dont mind it. I know that I can say "what a waste of time" but that would be rude of me, and if the christian isnt being rude then that would result in me starting the rudeness. I usually just say "thankyou' and try to instead think of it as their way of saying "im concerned for you".
If they are being pricks, on the other hand, the words "I will pray for you" means something completely different to me. It is smug and arrogant. Its like them saying "I will cast a spell on you so that you believe in what I believe in...because you are stupid and should be looked down upon."
