And just because leaders of Christianity "only" oppose LGBT marriage instead of actively advocating for death as a punishment doesn't make them "progressive" either. There is no such a thing as leaders of christianity. There are only leaders of different branches of christianity. Some only opposing gay marriage, some outright celebrating the slaughter, some actively calling for the extermination of gays.
