The biggest fault/flaw with faith is its almost always a by product of indoctrination from a time before a person could logically evaluate the evidence. Yes a small percentage switch religions and some become converted at a later time but that is probably them buying into the fervor of those already indoctrinated.
If you actually believe that if a whole community was raised with no religion then shown the empirical evidence from science, evolution, etc, they would suddenly conclude that there was definitely a God from the various religious documents I think you are deluding yourself.
You may consider there must be something more and ponder that issue, but to turn those musings, between all the possibilities you can imagine, into a faith in a particular musing, at the cost of the rest is unlikely but possible.
But getting from a faith that there must be a creator god to the christian god based on reading the bible seems almost impossible, but then again nothings impossible .... (or at least I believe its possible that nothing is impossible
