4. Conclusion; or: Joe, H(ow)TF do you know all of this?
Basically, this thing is running on a mixture of novelty and nostalgia. Pretty much *all* of my friends (ages 25-29) have downloaded it in the last couple of days, if for no other reason than to reminisce about how cool it was to catch your first Weedle on your GameBoy Color when you were 10. I think the popularity with the older crowd is going to wear off pretty fast. With younger people, well - as long as it's monitored, it can be a good thing; it's been noted that kids who normally sit inside playing video games are now outside walking miles playing video games... not exactly the solution we should be aiming for, to be sure, but perhaps an improvement. It's cute to be able to have your phone buzz and be like "hey, there's a Pidgey right in front of you!" and then you turn it on and there's this little cute bird thing hopping on your desk at work.
To summarize:
Yes I have Pokemon Go.
No I'm not really into it.
It's an enjoyable blast from the past that's going to have some staying power based on its sheer uniqueness.

How will we know, when the morning comes, we are still human? - 2D
Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
