I don't feel obligated to take care of every human on the planet. You probably don't either in practice.
You don't help people at the expense of your own community. There's a line you draw. I do see the world as you do for example, yet I don't think merging two cultures separated by some 6 centuries or so in advancement is the best idea for either of them.
But what's done is done, at this point. All we can do is make the best of it.
Just curious though. Are you even an European or do you reside in a country that accepted refugees or are you talking out of your ass? 'Cause if you are, please don't.
