Grow up. Humans worldwide are not a separate species. Just because we live in a more open society does not mean club think and tribalism does not exist. We have a right wing here . Leaving religions like LDS or Amish and even Scientology can be met with severe scorn. And I have been listening to atheists for 15 years and their stories of how families negatively react to coming out as well as knowing how my younger sister got treated by our family when she came out. The only difference between the west and the east is 200 plus years of a secular leash on religion. Social pressure still exists even in the open west.
