Staff member may make mistakes, I made a few, but none is done on purpose, it usually involves some wipping from the other staff members. If a staff member makes a mistake he will be criticized for it.
Some time ago, acting as staff, I didn't thought something right and acted bluntly with it. My teammates called me to reason and I apologized publicly for my outburst. We are human.
It is way more frequent to have a member pull the "but you are abusing your staff power" routine, than error to come from a deliberate abuse of power. Staff members should be able to have passionate discussions about X without fear the normal members reaction to it.
I even recently faced Losty on a mafia subject, that I mistakenly thought would spill onto the general forum and she carefully explained that was simply a subforum change. Like any regular joe, I had to admit my error. That's civil service. Had she been a regular joe, I'd be getting a kitrenkorn up my ass. So yeah I criticized a staff member. There is no rule about that. There is even a subforum for that.
Staff should enjoy the same opportunity to socially blunder as other members. Essentially they are members who volunteer for extra housekeeping responsibilities. Since they are self selecting they obviously aren't going to invite on to staff anyone prone to frequent social mishaps because why make the job harder than need be? But to err is human and a necessary ingredient for personal growth. So of course they should continue to have access to the same feedback the rest of us get. They just aren't likely to be the sort to melt down or initiate shit storms frequently. Our staff .. I appreciate them. Hugs all around.
