The story made me think of religion, the quran, the bible, government, even just general psychology of brainwashing yourself in order to fit in within day to day life, which I think people do all the time.
I don't think anyone really reads random books upon recommendations but I strongly STRONGLY recommend everyone to read this.
Anyone else read it? What did you think? I don't know what to read after this, I don't think any other book can match it.
Orwell was not anti government, just against blind worship of anything. You should like "Animal Farm" by him too.
I think the fact that animals are the main characters sort of takes away the seriousness of the story for me and spoils it.
Like if there was a muppets version of shindlers list.
