What is your Dungeons and Dragons alignment?

I can easily work with all of chaos (that desires to work with me, and I understand how to deal with them whenever this should not be the case). What I can't work with is any of lawful. We necessarily diverge in methodology, which makes teamwork between us terminate the moment it comes in contact with a bloody law.

Your typical xian fundy would be somewhere around Lawful Neutral, Lawful Evil, or Neutral Evil. Pat Robertson would be Neutral evil, as he only cares about the law only if it profits him. If he can have slave labor in diamond mines then so be it. Me? I am Neutral Good, I only care about the law if it is benevolent for all people. If it isnt, then those laws deserved to be broken and removed.

Most of the cool xians would wind up being Neutral Good or Lawful Good. The NG's I prefer to hang around. The LG's tend to be a bit "holier than thou" types.

The d&d alignment system is pretty good, and a quick indicator of peoples basic ethics and morals.

Allow me to give you a run down of the alignment system along with famous fictional characters that represent them in my opinion:

Lawful Good - Superman
Lawful Neutral - Spock
Lawful Evil - Doctor Doom
Neutral Good - Spider Man
Neutral* - Tom Bombadil (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Bombadil )
Neutral Evil - Doctor Octopus
Chaotic Good - Thor
Chaotic Neutral - Raphael from TMNT
Chaotic Evil - The Joker

And you can also have tendencies like Chaotic Neutral (evil), or Lawful Neutral (good) that shows you preferences on a NEUTRAL stance, that you tend to lean that way, but not always. Let me give you some examples:

Lawful Neutral (Good) - Captain America
Lawful Neutral (Evil) - Rā's al Ghūl (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra's_al_Ghul)
Neutral (Lawful) Good - Batman
Chaotic Neutral (Evil) - Loki
Chaotic Neutral (Good) - Wolverine

You cant have a "Lawful (Chaotic) Good" alignment, because it defaults to Neutral Good. You also cannot have an alignment like "Lawful Good (Evil)", because it will default to Lawful Neutral. All tendencies must be based upon a Neutrality question to avoid contradiction. Tendencies can ONLY be used when the word "neutral" is being used on the alignment.

So some of you who are complaining may be falling into tendency issues, like Sae. She may more than likely be Chaotic Neutral (Good).

Me?

Im strict Neutral Good.

*note - sometimes it is hard to point out a true neutral ethic. For the most part, many non-human animals and all plants are considered "true" Neutral. Some games ban the idea of true Neutral because it is hard to define it.
