Besides the info you provided, he also makes the 110% non-sequitur leap from 'the mirrors are screwed in' to 'that means the true god exists'. Because of course he has to ignore all the Christians who believe in both God and gravitational waves.
Interesting logic
1. There's this obscure Russian paper from the 60s
2. Therefore the mirrors are screwed tightly despite every single expert and actual photographs showing that they aren't
3. ...
4. God!
I admit, you're in a tough spot if your worldview entire depends on that the mirrors in some interferometer are installed differently from reality. It's almost worse than having virgin birth and resurrection.
