Coming out as atheist caused a long argument with my parents that they eventually never wanted to bring up again. Coming out as transgender got me entirely blacklisted. We don't talk anymore.
That's terrible, a person should not be blacklisted from their family over such a thing. I'm sure it's more complex then that, since I can only speculate my feelings having no experience with the issue directly. I did have another question about that world though and I've never had the nerve to ask it till recently. If your at a bar and a guy comes up and starts talking to you in a flirtatious manner, does males to female tell people that they are transgender?
I'm not sure how to answer that in the context of bars, since I never go to bars. I really don't like public places with noisy people. I'm not a fan of strangers hitting on me, either.
Do I personally tell people that I am transgender, though? If I know someone, they know my history. I'm very open with anyone close to me. I have no reason to hide anything.
I don't believe you. Get over it.
