It amazes me that the fundy crowd hasn't yet bowed out of the political process in disgust. The GOP has played them like a violin for decades, and the Christians have virtually nothing to show for their support of that party. Meanwhile, millions of them continue to vote against their own economic interests in election after election, hoping in vain that maybe this time things will work out in their favor. Their support of Trump is simply craven.
Having said that, I don't think Drich really falls into that category of believer. He simply seems disgusted by business as usual, and that as much as anything seems to be what's behind his support of Trump. But he also strikes me as one of those believers who is ultimately apolitical, disdaining 'the world' in favor of his eschatological fantasies of martyrdom. Chaos is his brand, since that heralds the fulfillment of all the things he hopes for:
