#1. You do your research before you hire someone for a job. Recently someone came to our house wanting to cut down some trees for us. We thought about it--then looked up their reviews on the internet, and saw that other customers weren't satisfied. So we didn't hire them, rather than having them do the work, then refusing to pay them.
#2. When you're not satisfied you have the work re-done, or you have your contractor fix it. We had our house built, and if there was something we weren't satisfied with, we would have brought it to our contractor instead of stiffing him. (Regardless of how 'legal' something is.) Trump didn't have any extra work done. He just stiffed a contractor because he wanted to pay less. That's what he does time and time again.
