Another Circumcision thread

Ignorant statement. Circumcision has nothing to do with Catholicism.

Sure it doesn't.

I mean, it's not like catholics saw masturbation as filthy- just as imam who-gives-a-fuck sees a clit as filthy, it's not like they believe in a magic book that tells them to snip their sons.  Who do you think the nutballs that got americans to do this were appealing to?  Why did it catch on?  Medical studies about non-existent health benefits, you reckon....?



That circumcision as we practice it finds both it's genesis and it's support in the abrahamic religious traditions is flatly inarguable, Lady.  Just another thing we have jesus to thank for.

Well, catholics as you known are strict adherents to the biblical text. So, here goes:

9 Then God said to Abraham, “As for you, you must keep my covenant,you and your descendants after you for the generations to come. 10 This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised. 11 You are to undergo circumcision, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and you. 12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner—those who are not your offspring. 13 Whether born in your household or bought with your money, they must be circumcised. My covenant in your flesh is to be an everlasting covenant. 14 Any uncircumcised male, who has not been circumcised in the flesh, will be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant.”

Basically, those who are uncut are not deemed worthy of being part of Gods world. I cannot believe that Abraham was a f'ing lemming. If God told him to jump off a cliff, he would fucking do it I'll tell ya!!!
