It's not common sense. It's a rationalization. Cutting a boys penis doesn't do -anything- other than reduce sensitivity. There's no "what it might mean, healthwise" for the man, or for any woman he has sex with. No ones -making it that-...that's what it was, and in the case of fgm -still is-. That's why we do it. That's the origin of the cultural tradition as practiced...except that it;s not practiced, for women, here...it's something that only little boys have to look forward too.
