When I was going through the roughest and most terrifying time of my life this past year, it was regular visits with a priest that brought me peace and kept me going. I saw a psychologist as well, but it didn't help me the way the priest did.
But, ya know, he's just a "parasite."
....Oh wait, except I never had to pay him a single penny for his time with me and for agreeing to meet with me whenever I needed it. The church pays him a small amount each year and for the rest of the time, he's just there to serve others as they need.
Making such nasty generalized statement about anyone (including priests, regardless of how much you hate them all) is the epitome of bigotry.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
