I don't care if one buys something or is supported by a breadwinner of a family, it still remains that pay is not meeting the cost of living and Reagan's deregulation has created a global race for cheap labor. That is not good economics period. In a very real evolutionary sense, we see what can happen in nature when one aspect of the ecosystem get's out of balance. Some inequity has to happen sure, but anyone who studies animals and ecosystems can tell you an invasive species or sudden loss or mass loss of resources to that ecosystem can not only hurt the minority life in that system, but also that dominate species.
Cars are too expensive, rent and housing are too expensive, maybe not for some, but most certainly for more and more of the middle class and working poor. Healthcare and education and even cell phones are outrageous. You cannot keep raising the price of everything and have wages stay the same or fall. Nick Hanoure a billionaire knows this.
Yes I started this thread poking fun of the marketing aspect, but appeal to emotion sells everything and it isn't always a good thing.
